here so I'mgoing to complete setup and genai essentialsget goinghere okay and I'm just showing you alittle bit I just clicked on here so I'mjust showing you a bit of the stepbefore I fill in some of my personalinformation um I guess we're smallbusiness uh we are based inCanada it's for both I suppose what taskwill claw be used for educationalpurposes will Claud be used to providelegal medical advice no will you beincorporating your API into any productsor Services intended for users under theage of 18 no and so we'll hit continueand now this is where I will have tohide my screen so I'll be back in just amoment okay all right so I set billingand uh I think for now I'm going to juststart with $5 as that is a small amountAuto reload credits when the balancereaches a certain threshold I'm notgoing to do that here today but I'mgoing to go ahead and just complete thepurchase and so in theory the purchaseshould be completed and I should havethose $5 but I'll give it a moment herethere it is so now I should be able toto use the API um so let's go over tohere and take a look at what we have umso we'll go back over to here I'm goingto go ahead and um run thishere and so it should pick up it says uhat least one message is required so nowit's not an issue of whether it worksit's just the fact that we don't have amessage filled in here so I'll go uphere I'm just going to put in messagesalso bump up the font here a little bitit is a little bit small okay and we'llbring that on down and I'm going to goahead and bring this hereso now the next thing I need is anexample of actual messages so we'll justsay messages APIanthropic now I honestly find theeasiest way to use anthropic is viaAmazon Bedrock but you know use whateveryou need touse um we'll say python here we'll justtype this againPython and so I'm just trying to findthat example of it yeah so it's roll andcontent so that is very straightforwardI'm going to go ahead and just copy thatfrom wherever this is here we're goingto go ahead and give this a paste inI'll probably fix this up a little bitso it's less of amessokay and uh yeah we'll just leave it asthis and see whathappens and we'll just zoom out a littlebit here so we can see what we're doingso at least one message is required ohyou know what we didn't actuallyreplace this value here we'll go aheadand give that arun so there we go so we got a responseback very verystraightforward um but yeah nothingsuper exciting here um I know there'sother capabilities that anthropic uh APIhas but I really don't investigate theirindividual ones because I generally useanthropic through vertex AI or um AmazonBedrock but sometimes they'll havefunctionality that is only accessiblethrough their API let's go over to theirAPI referenceI'm just looking down here to see ifthere's anything interesting so we havemessages which is pretty straightforwardwe can streammessagesum we can list models we can do batchmessaging which I would assume would bemore cost effective just like open AIthere's the Legacy one I assume wewouldn't use that anymore there is anadmin API but I can't imagine thatthat's something we'd ever really wantto uh fiddle with then we have Amazonbedrock and vertex AI down below um yeahI guess what I was looking for was someof those beta featur because there'salways really interesting things thatanthropic can do so just say likeanthropic well actually down below hereit says ask AI so what are some of thebeta features via the API I can use withanthropic so some always like hearingreally cool things like being able tocontrol your screen and stuff like thatbut where they are they're not clearlyhere in the main API so maybe their uhAI uh thing can help us we'll just giveit a moment here that's the what I'mthinking about computer computer usebeta so allows you to interact with thecomputer desktop comments here's anexample of the code and we don'tactually see oh there's the examplethere wego and message batching here it's sayingit's in beta I don't think it's in betaanymore um I think it's just part of theAPI now I'm not sure how out of dat itis but yeah I mean that's prettystraightforward we can go back over tothe workbench itself um I don't thinkthere's anything exciting here to talkabout in the workbenchokay yeah yeah yeah so I mean somethingthat the API supports I believe is tooluse so I guess if you wanted to testtool use in here that's something thatyou could do which is kind ofinteresting so I guess we have anexample there um do I want to show tooluse right now probably not if we dosomething with let's say rag then wecould come back to that right now I'mnot that interested in showing off uhtool use but yeah there's your yourbasic starting uh starting place withanthropic um I'm going to go ahead andcommit uh this stuff here so just sayanthropicexample okay and so you can see it's notsuper complicated the only thing that Idid not like and I mean I understand whythey did that but they forc you to putin your um Canadian business number umfor taxes and I suppose you're supposedto do that but I like just to fill outforms then I had to go ask Boo for the Ubusiness number I'm going to go and makesure I get rid of the API key as I donot want to have issues here um we'll goahead and we'll just delete this key andnow we're in good shape okay[Music]ciao all right so we looked at sagemakerand also Azure ml Studio but let's stilltake take a look and see if we can runnotebooks in Google Cloud obviously haveGoogle Cod lab um but let's see ifthere's something directly in here Ihonestly don't remember um but we'll goover to vertex AI because if there wasone place it would be it would be
